![]() ![]() Global Theatre History examines the nature of this compelling exchange. The two-course sequence in theatre history makes emerging artists aware of their global heritage. Global Theatre History: Foundational Impulses. Note: Four-credit courses that meet for 150 minutes per week require three additional hours of class preparation per week on the part of the student in lieu of an additional hour of formal instruction. By the end of the course, students should be able to produce basic master ground plans and center line sections which are the basis for any scenic drafting package. This task requires they learn a very complicated computer program called Vectorworks and learn industry drafting standards and concepts. ![]() The second goal is to equip them with the ability to develop their own master ground plans and center line sections. The goal is to first equip students with the knowledge and skills to read, interpret, and understand architectural theater drawings and scenery master ground plans and center line sections. This class serves as an introduction to the basic principles of observing, analyzing, and representing three-dimensional objects through the means of drafting.
